EARTH WEEK has been going strong here at Northeast! Students have had the opportunity to learn about liquid waste, composting, the 5 R’s of sustainability, and have been encouraged to clean up litter and also take a straw pledge!
Your child should have received a Northeast reusable snack bag this week – and tomorrow (Friday) we encourage all students to use their snack bag for our Zero Waste Snack Day Challenge! Students will separate what can be composted and recycled so there should be nothing leftover. On average, each person in America produces almost 6 lbs of trash a day! Zero Waste Day is highlighting how we all can help reduce that number. Don’t forget to check out our Earth Week page for fun and informative activities to help our environment.
