9/14: Principal Dr. Marinello’s Latest Letter to the Northeast Community

Please take a minute to read Principal Dr. Marinello’s latest letter to our Northeast Community.

I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend with their families. The first week at Northeast was very successful. Although it was obviously different than our normal first few days of school, I think everyone has stepped up to make re-entry possible. I am really proud of all of our students. They did a great job socially distancing, wearing their face masks, and washing their hands throughout the day. It was really nice to see the children back in the school!

As we look towards the second week of school, we will continue to work on getting arrival and dismissal smoother for families. In just four days we were able to reduce dismissal time from 45 minutes to 30 minutes. I appreciate your patience as we continue to improve on the process. Having a safe and efficient process will allow us to maximize instructional time in the building.

On a personal note, my wife and I are expecting a new addition to our family this week; a new baby girl. I will begin my paternity leave on Wednesday. Although I am excited about the new addition to our family, I am going to miss being at Northeast for the next few weeks. While I am out, if you need anything please reach out to Mrs. Lane ([email protected]), or Mrs. Mould ([email protected]). I am going to do my best to honor my duties as a Dad and take my time to help my wife and family with our new addition. I am confident that Kathy and Patty will be able to keep the Northeast ship moving in the right direction while I am out.

As I mentioned in my webinar, to make this year a success, we all have to do our part. So far, everyone is stepping up to help make school successful for our students. Let’s keep the positive momentum going……

Have a great week!

Dr. Marinello

Principal
