SHINING STARS

NORTHEAST SHINING STARS Weekly Shout-Outs

OUR SHINING STARS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 17th…

The 5th graders of Northeast

This shout out goes to all the Fifth Graders at Northeast! They participated in “Change Wars” before December break. The five fifth-grade classes competed to see who could bring in the most spare change from home. The class that brought in the most money chose a charity, and the money collected from all classes went to their charity of choice. Mrs. Van Name’s class won and chose Inspirica, a local organization that provides resources for  housing security,  employment, and childcare. The fifth grade collected and donated $910! Way to go, Northeast Fifth Graders! Continue shining brightly, Northeast Stars!

OUR SHINING STARS FOR THE WEEK OF JANUARY 10th…

Mr. Fox and his 4th Grade Class

This shout out goes to Mr. Fox and his 4th grade class for collecting school supplies and books for the Mayfield, Kentucky school district. Their district was demolished by the December F3 Tornadoes. Students are displaced from their homes and communities. This is a great way for our students to help out other communities in need.

What is a Northeast Shining Star?

A Northeast Shining Star Shout-Out is a way to recognize students and staff accomplishments that happen at school and within our Stamford community. Each week we will celebrate our “Shining Stars” who have inspired us and made a positive impact on our community.
