The Northeast Book Fair is March 27-31st! Students will visit the fair with their classroom teachers. Click here to view the class schedule. We are excited about all the new book titles that have arrived as well as the many science activities and stationary items available for purchase.

Northeast is extremely grateful for the generous donations made by Mona Mitri, of Tutor Me SOS and the management of Code Ninjas in Stamford, as well as the families that have contributed to our Book Buddies fund. Their generosity gives many of our students the opportunity to select a NEW book from the fair along with their classmates. MARCH 29 | WEAR IT WEDNESDAY
Northeast Stars, get ready for Wear It Wednesday on Wed March 29th and show off your Northeast school spirit! On early release Wednesdays, we invite all students and staff to wear your favorite Northeast spirit wear or any clothing with the blue and yellow school colors.

MARCH 29 | 5TH GRADE MUSICAL AUDITIONS
Save the Date! Auditions for the 5th Grade Musical will be held on Wednesday, March 29 from 12:30pm-3:00pm in the Northeast Auditorium!
The musical will be Shrek Jr and is sponsored by the Northeast PTO. All 5th graders are welcome to audition for a part or volunteer to be part of the crew. More details will be released soon. APRIL 10-14 | NORTHEAST SPRING FOOD DRIVE
WHERE: Please have your child place the food in the boxes located outside the school’s main office
WHAT: In order to collect a well-rounded supply of food, each grade is being asked to focus on specific items:
Kindergarten- nutrition bars, breakfast cereals, instant oatmeal
1st grade- pasta, pasta sauce, rice (white & brown)
2nd grade- peanut butter, jelly (grape & strawberry)
3rd grade- shelf-stable milk, fruit cups, applesauce pouches
4th grade- canned soups, canned beans, dried beans (1 lb. bags)
5th grade- canned protein (tuna, salmon, chicken)
Grade levels will be combined into teams and the team with the most food items collected will win a special, mystery prize!
APRIL 12 | NORTHEAST SCIENCE FAIR
Northeast Elementary School PTO presents our first ever SCIENCE FAIR! To participate, you must sign up by March 31st.
**Please consider bringing food donations with you when you visit the Science Fair on Wednesday, 4/12**

*NOTE: The Science Fair is not mandatory and projects are meant to be done entirely at home with adult supervision

APRIL 14 | LIGHT IT UP BLUE SPIRIT FRIDAY
Students and staff are invited to wear BLUE on Friday, April 14th for Autism Awareness month!
MAY 27 | SPS DAY AT YANKEE STADIUM
PT Council of Stamford invites you to SPS day at Yankee Stadium! All ticket packages include a ticket, meal deal (hot dog, drink) and NYY backpack! The game is currently sold out to the public but the PTC of Stamford has a reserved block of tickets for each section for SPS schools – if you want to attend act fast as tickets will be on a first come, first serve basis per section! Please send payment and completed form (see flyers) in an envelope to the Northeast Main Office. Deadline to purchase is Friday, March 31st, 2023.
