Monster Dash – Rescheduled for Fri 10/27

A reminder that our Monster Dash outdoor fun run and obstacle course was rescheduled for this Friday, October 27th due to the rain. Volunteers are still needed to help setup the course and chaperone the race, please sign up here.

WAY TO GO Northeast Stars! We’ve met our school-wide fundraising goal of $31,415 so let’s get excited to see Dr. Marinello, Coach P and Mrs. Lubowitz take a pie in the face!! The competition for the top fundraising class in each grade is still fierce so keep those donations coming and let’s see which classrooms will win a fun party from the PTO. We are shooting for 100% participation so remember no amount is too small! That means a pledge of even 5 cents counts towards our school goal! Classrooms with full participation earn extra recess time. All the money raised will help pay for grade level field trips, enrichment activities, and other extra-curricular programs.

⭐️ We are accepting online donations until 11:59pm on Friday, October 27th.

⭐️Cash and check donations should be given to your classroom teacher by Friday, 10/27.

Thank You – Pink Out at Northeast

Thank you to everyone that joined us in supporting and helping raise breast cancer awareness during our annual PINK OUT day at Northeast. This year our Northeast Stars donated more than $850 to Stamford Health’s Paint the Town Pink initiative! Students learned the value of giving back to our Stamford community while also helping bring awareness to this import cause.

If you haven’t already, please watch this inspiring video message from one of our beloved Kindergarten teachers – Pam Blackwell – explaining how important it is to raise awareness for breast cancer, how to talk about cancer with your child, and what this time means to her as a breast cancer survivor.

FALL is here! As you clean out your closets for the new season, remember the Northeast Textile Recycling Bins! Save the environment and repurpose your unusable items (think clothes that are more-than-gently-used, old towels, sheets, single shoes and socks, old backpacks, even stuffed animals!) while making money for our school! Place all items in an enclosed garbage bag. Bins are located on the right side of the lower lot, by the stairs to go to the Stamford Historical Society. For more information, visit our PTO website (https://northeastpto.digitalpto.com/programs/textile-recycling-bins/)

Sensory Tables for Kindergarten

Hello my name is Ashley from Girl Scout troop 50812 in Stamford Connecticut. I am working on completing my Silver Award. I am building sensory tables for four kindergarten classrooms at Northeast Elementary School. I am also preparing a year’s worth of materials for the teachers to use in the sensory tables from year to year. I held a tag sale to raise money for the materials to build the sensory tables. I have set up an Amazon wish list of items needed for inside the sensory tables. Please consider supporting my project and purchasing an item on the list that will get mailed directly to me. Thank you for your support.
