Let’s Make Northeast a No Idle Zone!

During Earth Week we want to make an effort to decrease our emissions. One way we can do that is by not idling while waiting in the pick up line at dismissal. If you get to school early and the line is stopped, please SHUT OFF your engines. This will release less toxins in the air and ozone regional haze.

Volunteer To Be A Room Parent

We are looking for volunteers to be room parents for the 2021-2022 year. Room parents are needed to assist each teacher and act as a liaison between the PTO and the parents of the children in each class. At various times throughout the year, room parents will be asked to disseminate communications from the PTO to the class parents via e-mail. This is a great way to get involved with the PTO and also be involved in your child’s class without a big time commitment.

Please email Christine Meek by Friday, September 3rd if you are interested in being  a room parent for your child’s classroom.

Dr. Marinello’s Reminder Regarding Out-Of-State Travel and COVID Precautions

As the holidays approach, Northeast families may be planning travel to see family or may be planning to host family from out-of-town. Please take a minute to review Dr. Marinello’s reminder of the Connecticut’s executive order regarding travel. It is important to remember that you or your family members may need to quarantine before returning to school. It takes all of us to keep our community healthy & safe. Thanks!

Volunteer To Be A Room Parent!

The Northeast PTO is looking for a caregiver from each classroom to serve as a “Room Parent” for the school year. While there will be no in-school activities for parents this year, the Room Parent can help distribute information from the PTO and classroom teacher to families in the classroom.

If you are interested in serving as your class’s Room Parent for 2020-2021, please reach out to Christine Nanos. Thank you!
