Exciting Opportunity for Students in Grades 3 to 5

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities, ranging from building mechanical devices to presenting dramatic interpretations of literary classics. By tapping into creativity, this unique program encourages imaginative paths to problem solving and teaches uesful skills for a lifetime.

Interested in getting a Northeast team started? Plan to attend the meeting on October 1, and contact Jessica Slippen if you think you’d like to be an Odyssey of the Mind coach. Meeting days and times will be determined by the coaches, and generally meet after school once a week from November to March.

Last year, six of Stamford’s 11 teams placed third or better at the State tournament, with four teams advancing to the World Finals at Iowa State University. Let’s see if we can get Northeast in that mix!

Registration fee for the program is $180 per student/$50 for students qualifying for free/reduced lunch. This is for students in grades 3 to 5.
